Hey kids!
I've bin in Amsterdam for a few days by now, and have finally managed to drag myself in front of the computer to bring out somewhat of a report on LJ. Life is good. I have a wonderful little apartment in the middle of the city overlooking the Amstel river together with my brother. My folks are right across the hall, so a degree of subtlety is required, but it is nevertheless an awesome base of operations here in A dam. At the moment we are all mainly focussed on my sister's upcoming wedding, i have made some really nice matching bracelets for my sister and her husband to be, with silver elements and some nice semi-precious stones. I have also started to catch up with friends over here, and i can tell that some good times are going to be had. It will be fascinating to see how the various scenes over here have evolved since i last saw them; it has been three years. My planning at the moment is pretty laid back. I don't intend to travel too much, instead i want to spend some solid time over here with my family and friends. One thing i am going to do for sure however is go to Boom Festival in Portugal. So Sarah when u read this, we need to get in touch a bit, work out some details so we can make this thing happen!

Spent this afternoon with Amanda working on my coat and it is really starting to take shape. It is largely finished, we just have to do details such as pockets and edging. So far the experience has been fantastic, i had never made any clothes before (although i have done several designs) and it is all incredibly rewarding. Many thanx to Amanda already and many more to come :-) I would like to urge others who are thinking of making one for RD to get their bums into gear! How much fun will it be if there are a bunch of us there with wicked coats?!

Wow. So that was the best birthday a have had in many years. I had no plans initially and i am overjoyed that Anth convinced me to have a party with him. Thank u brother, as u already know i value my newfound friendship with u immeasurably. And its not just Anth, i value everyone of my friendships in this group more than words can express (ok fine i admit it i just had a pill). For the first time in my life in Aus i feel truly part of a group and am now ready willing and able to commit myself. With pride i say i that i am DMF (yes ben, one of us. Enough munted ramblings from the Dutchman, i love u all and thank u to everyone for making this birthday unforgetable.

I'm heading up to Maitreya on thursday, probably (hopefully?) early in the afternoon. Just wondering if anyone else was thinking of heading up around then, and if so if they would like to convoy up with me...
